Dumb Films I’ve Made

 they’re real good

Okay I lied, this one isn’t dumb. This is actually the thing I’m most proud of. The homework assignment was to make a music video, and I did this instead.

Peter Leith and I came up with this idea in 2018, and somehow managed to convince his parents to fund it for us. This was my first time directing, or really doing anything on set, to be honest. While this project wasn’t 178 Blank, it was absolutely the catalyst that led to its creation.

We shot this to accompany a crowdfunding campaign for a film I was hoping to direct, but we ultimately decided to tuck the idea away for a later time. This shoot was fun af tho!!!

Another music video I made with some friends!

Homework assignment, January 2021: A silent film, B&W, one prop, tell us a story in a single take, no camera movements.

How It’s Made

Another homework assignment. 6 cuts, diegetic sound. I forget if there were any other requirements but uhhhh eNJOYY!!!

Had to write a song for a stuffed alien as part of my pledge semester to Delta Kappa Alpha at USC.

I don’t really do cinematography anymore, but I’m featured heavily in the 178 Blank 2021 Reel

I’m not very proud of the first 178 Blank film I shot (“On An Average Day,” if you’re interested), but I am proud of this one.

A music video I made for fun with some friends!

Homework assignment babyyy. The prompt this time was “expectation.”

I hope you can see how much fun I had doing homework lmao.

First Stage Combat homework assignment of quarantine: make a video fighting yourself.

Second Stage Combat assignment: make a video fighting each other, long distance. We all recorded videos independently and then uploaded for everyone else to edit together. I took some creative liberties to poke fun at a text I would always send in our group chat, enjoy.

The final stop of our Stage Combat journey: choreograph a fight between you and someone else, long distance. I took some more creative liberties to bring the Danny’s Pants arc to a close.
